Performance Kit
An investment in SLS technology is advantageous only if machines and materials work well together
The development of SLS materials and problems gathered from years of experience have encouraged CRP Technology to find out and manufacture some devices which elevate 3D Systems machines and Windform™ XT’s union to the top level. These innovations are now available to all those who want to earn as much as possible from these important investments.
CRP Technology’s suggestion is the “Performance Kit": the ideal instrument to optimise the performance of the machine.
It is made up of two single accessories; studies of the R&D department of C.R.P. Technology, and a easy to follow CD containing the instructions to assemble these parts on the 3D Systems machine:
- Windform protection Cover (WPC): it’s an aluminium cover created for the roller which deposits the powder on the construction plain of the sintestation. Useful in the manufacturing of Windform XT. The material in transformation creates an inevitable cloud of fine powder which deposits on the laser window during the manufacturing. The laser ray, filtering through a filthy glass, loses some intensity therefore creating discontinuity of the emission, ruining the piece in construction. The Cover weakens this phenomenon of the dispersion of damaging dust, reducing the formation of possible inconveniences in the realization of the piece.
- Windform protection Scrapers (WPS): silicon straps which ensure an improvement of the powder work. Their increased thickness guarantees the roller to be constantly kept clean, allowing the powder to be better spread out. In this way, the formation of lumps in the material and consequently stripes on the bed part is decreased, obtaining an optimum make. This solution allows you to reach an extremely high quality level as soon as the piece is taken out of the machine, especially for parts with extremely reduced thickness.
