Vincent explains his experience in Fantic Motor, 2005 Motorbike World Championship

Arnaud Vincent, 125 cc class World Champion, 2002 season, one of the best experienced rider in the paddock, speak about his experience with Scuderia Fantic Motor GP during the last World Championship season.
Scuderia Fantic joined the championship with 2 250 cc motorbikes, with a 2strokes engine, 90° V angle, studied by Franco Moro, ex Aprilia technician. The frame, some engine spare parts and some aerodynamic studies have been studied and manufactured by the engineering department of CRP technology.

“CRP is an Italian company focused on engineering besides manufacturing of prototypes with lates Rpaid Prototyping technology. It’s a completely innovative system, used in F1 with teams such as Red Bull, Bar, Toyota and so on…”

“For the improvement of our prototypes they used their technology. Aftyer designing and projecting the bike, the innovative "Rapid Prototyping & Rapid Manufacturing", systems has been used to manufacture the parts, using Windform materials, as they call them, composite materials studied and created inside CRP, with properties similar to Composite Materials.”

“It’s a technology the fasten so much all manufacturing processes.”

“Aerodynamic and frame were very good, but the engine was too fragile and not enough relioable.”

“This experience allowed me to get in touch with CRP Tehcnology, an excellent company that slight up the racing world with its professionalism, extreme competence, but above all with a R&D department always ready to listen to and to solve riders needs and problems.”.

Declaration – America’s Cup Mascalzone Latino Chief Engineering Dr. Eng. Ceccarelli Giovanni

Rapid Prototyping gives us designers a fundamental helping hand as it allows us to verify, during the tiresome and delicate planning phase, all limits and possible working defects which could happen at any moment.
In this way we avoid wasting time in the re-planning of deadlines.
RP is also essential for the presentation of the product to the client: to give the possibility to touch the small model, which is a perfect model of the final product, allows us to enormously reduce the timing of debugging and the customisation of the product.  It also allows the client to better understand what is being talked about (that it, what is being produced).

However, what has lessened my enthusiasm and the solid utilization of this technology up until now was the performance of the materials which forced extreme caution in the use of the piece, and often, with a very scarce reproduction of detail.

The CRP materials, however, allow me to obtain all the properties which I need for assembly testing, the wind tunnel, displays for clients and planning analysis:  the SLS technology allows for total freedom in the shaping, and the Windform materials, the necessary mechanical performance.

So I’m really pleased to have discovered the Selective Laser Sintering technology combined with Windform, that allows me to create patterns for the external volume analysis, as deckhouse, in few days after the 3D file delivery, a quick and effective proactive mean in yacht design hands.

Testimonial Acetaia Fiorucci, functional design

Thanks to the technologies of the Rapid Prototyping, and in particularly to the Selective Laser Sintering, which has been proposed by CRP, in combination of its innovative composed materials, we have succeeded in completing in a brief amount of time the packaging project of the vinegar cruet and also the box that contains it.

It was possible to possess in our hands in record time the models, functional ones and not display models, it has been possible to verify that the box and the product perform at the highest standards for its purposes:  to assure the cruet and the brochure attached in a sure way and with the motto made aesthetically.

It is not in our nature to skip any level of details, with CRP we have succeeded in obtaining a wonderful black velvety look of the vinegar cruet thanks to Windform PRO B. With the standard techniques our company would never have succeeded in getting the same results on a functional or an aesthetics level, especially in such a brief time.

Declaration Simonini, Galbani Supplier. Thermoforming

We are utilizing Windformä PRO moulds to create containers for sliced and cubed salami with extremely interesting results: this innovative solution allows us, in fact, to give the containers a new form, created ad hoc for the client, also adding the name of the client (for example Galbani) to the base of the container in very little time.
In this way, we are able to renew the packing more often, have unique designs created especially for us, thanks to the support of CRP who produce our design for CAD 3D, and the costs are not so high: the same models created with the traditional technique from CNC manufacturing would entail an unacceptable price increase of the aluminium mould, as well as request a minimum timeframe of 1 to 3 months, whereas CRP produced our final moulds in less than a week. The performance is exactly the same, we haven’t, therefore renegotiated an inferior duration in respect to the classic aluminium moulds, no cracks or deterioration of the detail after the moulding:  the mould, therefore has exactly the same properties as the traditional mould, but with a new form, delivery times undoubtedly inferior and low costs for the manufacturing.
