6-7 November, Cologne
The Global Motorsport Congress that took place at Koln on November 6th-7th, has been a great success: interesting and useful at the same time, with many interventions of a very high technical level and full of information as required.
This Congress has also been a perfect occasion to meet again old friends as Luca Marmorini and Sergio Rinland. And we would like to thank Toyota for their hospitality and very kind company. We really appreciated the visit to the facilities and the dinner at the Toyota F1 base, in Koln.
The papers of Dr Ullrich, Audi Motorsport, Luca Marmorini, Toyota Motorsport, Dr Fickel, BMW, and Sergio Rinland were very scheming and stimulating, leading to interesting and really involving speeches, as for the Eng. Perlo from Magnetti Marelli.
The final intervention of Franco Cevolini has been more than successful too, many people were involved and CRP had the chance to renovate its image of high professionalism, (and) quality and service.
Eng. Franco Cevolini -Chairman and Director of CRP Technology, which continues to be a reference partner of the Racing Industry, personally taking care of the R&D, Rapid Prototyping and Mechanical Departments of the company- explained the direct use of rapid prototypes, made by Laser Sintering Technology and WINDFORM® materials, on road racing motorbikes. In particular he showed several different fields of application for WINDFORM® XT and WINDOFORM® GF, largely used by CRP Technology on its 250cc motorbike, R250, that attended the 2005 World Championship in the 250cc Class. He showed the possibility to use laser sintering for reliable and high performance parts ready to race, thanks to the top-level materials such as WINDFORM® GF and XT.
His intervention was focused on the case Study of a new airbox configuration made by WINDFORM® XT for the CRP R250 Engine, combined with a special carburettor insulator made by WINDFORM® GF ; a new fairing for the CRP R250 made by WINDFORM® XT ; a special Front Mudguard (fender) for the CRP R250, with integrated air ducts, made by WINDFORM®XT (and) a rear Mudguard (fender) and Rider Seat for the CRP R250 made by WINDFORM® XT.
Our special thanks go to the Organisation, Bettina Seehawer M.A., Event Manager (Global Motorsports Congress) and Mr Schedel, (AutoTechnology Magazine, Event Media Partner).
